  Grr-Ripper 200

I bought these a few years ago and never really used them. I just couldn't get used to it. Set in my ways I guess. I only have 1- 1/8" leg for some reason. Some of the O-rings dried out so I have 2 bags of replacement O=rings. Also, the instructions and DVD's. How's $75 shipped.

  Gutter Guards
Posted by: crokett™ - 05-05-2024, 11:03 AM - Forum: Home Improvement - Replies (18)

I think it might be time for some. I'd prefer they install on my existing gutters which are basic metal.  I would also prefer to install them myself.  Options?  I have been against them ever since my first house that had them, but they were loose/kept coming off so leaves, etc got under them and they just made the gutters harder to clean.

  Husqvarna Chainsaw ID
Posted by: Petertaylor - 05-05-2024, 09:44 AM - Forum: Home Improvement - Replies (3)

Our older Husqvarna chainsaw has no model # or any markings on it. We’re wanting to buy replacement parts, but how can we know which model. Probably a 445, but it does not say so. Any ideas?
Thanks, Peter

SawStop PCS with Overarm 4” dust collector and cabinet
Posted by: Johnny Currado - 05-03-2024, 11:03 AM - Forum: Woodworking Power Tools - Replies (2)

I have a 52” PCS SawStop Cabinet saw and just installed the floating overarm dust collector.  I would like to put or build a mobile cabinet to put under my extension table however the long arm supports that go from my new floating overarm dust collector to the underside of my ext table take up a lot of space.  I tried to upload a pic to show everyone but it’s too large of a file. with those long arms attached under my ext table, I am only left with about 20” of space for a cabinet.  I did call SawStop support to inquire but they said not to modify it well they could not suggest anything to me, which I understand but thought I would try.  What have y’all done to modify that bracing if anything to help support the overarm dust collector while in turn giving you more room for a possible cabinet to place under your ext table?

  Tree of Life

After working on the dining room table for so long (yes, pictures soon after I let the finish cure and put it together) it was fun to do a simple little project.  I made this to put on a wall out on the deck.

No hidden meaning to the tree of life.  I just like it and thought it would look good in that spot.  It's attached to the brick with some metal standoffs at the mortar joints, for an easy repair if/when it gets taken down.

I'm interested to see if the black acrylic will stand up to the summer sun.  I might have used Extira (exterior MDF) instead if I could have found a supplier.

  A Project for May?

The Boss has requested a storage solution to all the new nightgowns she has acquired over the last month or so...

Have about 45 bft of Ash on hand as the Main lumber...pine can hide out inside...plywood for drawer bottom panels...

Trying to decide on:
Drawer depth
Number of drawers needed
Free Standing, or
Build a stand to sit it on

Will the sides be a single glued up panel? Or...A Frame & many Raised Panels ( one per drawer)

Top?   Single, glued up, Bread board edge panel?   Or.....Make it into a lid, for a shallow compartment to house smaller items, so they don't get lost in a drawer, somewhere..?

The Single Brain Cell Sketch Up is now working out the details....

Have 28' of 1 x 4s to work into the design...but can rip some of the 1 x 6s to match...

Have to keep an eyeball peeled for grain details...so that they all will tend to blend together.

First cuts are to start...tomorrow, I hope...
Stay tuned....
