How to make small shed "portable"?
Posted by: Roger A - 07-30-2015, 06:32 AM - Forum: Woodworking - Replies (11)

Garden shed with an axle and tow bar? Like a frame you could bolt together from some heavy treated timber, put a utility trailer axle under it, and make a sort of Gypsy trailer? Not road legal, but safe to tow around off road.

  Delta 31-250 Drum Sander?
Posted by: bobs64ford352 - 07-29-2015, 03:18 PM - Forum: Woodworking Power Tools - Replies (6)

I paid that for mine about 10 years ago. I just had to clean the adjustment mechanism but other than that I have had zero problems with it.

You might be able to do something else with the motor. It does adjust in speed so it has to have brushes. The connector is really simple. For that price I would take it and see if the motor just needs brushes or something simple. Even that you might be able to find a different motor to work..

any idea what kind of tools he plans on using on it? Hand, power etc. If he wants to use Lee valley accy he might think about a few 3/4 holes.

  Interesting Plane on CL
Posted by: HomerLee - 07-28-2015, 10:54 PM - Forum: Woodworking Hand Tools - Replies (1)

Patrick talks about them

"The plane is stamped "No. S4" into the top of the main portion (can't say main casting here since these planes aren't cast), right at the toe, before the knob."

"This plane is scarcer than the regular #4, but it is by no means rare."
