  Binding at the splitter

Sounds like wood with stresses in it. One of the reasons splitters tend to annoy me. I would give the thinner splitter a try as a thin one is still better than none(sometimes...)

I got mine at Filters-Now. The particular bag filter I got for the JDS 750 is a 12x24x12 (95%) Accumulair 5 Pocket Synthetic Bag Filter (No Gasket, No Loops).
