  ISO Keyless 1/2' #2MT chuck/drawbar
Posted by: craneman54 - 10-24-2015, 08:50 PM - Forum: Woodturning - Replies (3)

You may have to buy them separate. Here is a 2MT with 1/2X20 tpi that accepts a 3/8" drawbar.
About half way down ...

Most 1/2" drill chucks accept a 1/2 X 20 tpi, a few may take a 3/8 instead.
Here is just one that takes a 1/2-20 tpi mount.

Seeing that etches and nibs are critical to handsaw performance and that your saw has those features . . .

$35 - $45. If the handle was perfect, closer to $75. Perfect handles really make a difference.

Very nice form, maple is some beautiful wood too. Think it's just about my favorite anymore.

If it's getting too hot, it's probably turning too fast. Max speeds are printed on the shanks of my forstners. Range is max 870RPM (1/4") to 620 RPM (2")

HF 34706 need a few extra inches?
Posted by: JDuke - 10-24-2015, 10:29 AM - Forum: Woodturning - Replies (5)

Do you have metal working tools? A torch, maybe a welder, if so you could make a bed extension that bolts on to the end of the lathe and you could use the existing tailstock. People have also built extensions out of wood.

the key is to keep the drive center and live center in alignment. Since it's spindle work I don't think it would have to be dead on but for sure the closer the better

NEC Question (Washing machine circuit or "laundry")
Posted by: pprobus - 10-24-2015, 10:00 AM - Forum: Home Improvement - Replies (1)

210.11©(2).

One or more outlets must be installed on a 20A circuit for the laundry.

That seems to allow both the washer and pump on one circuit. Even on one duplex receptacle.

Still Here, Doing what I Do

Lovely plane, Ron!

I love the low knob design and the one of the handle. Perfectly shaped and finished! Did you protect yourself while working Cocobolo? This wood was the one that opened the door to the hell for me!

It's an intriguing idea to finish the brass with True Oil, that's for sure. Could imagine that the True Oil protects the brass from aging. Do you happen to have longer experience with it?
