Peter

This company would have what you need since all they deal with is clocks.

Or you could call them to and give them the info. Really smart people on clocks.

  Rocking horse plans needed
Posted by: TDKPE - 09-25-2015, 12:55 PM - Forum: Woodworking - Replies (16)

This is the rocking horse I want to build, but links to the plans at Woodcraft are dead ends now.

I could attempt to reverse engineer it, but on the off-chance that someone has these plans and are willing to sell them, I thought I'd put this out there. I like the graceful look of it (it's for a girl), and would really like to get as close as I can in both design and color choices.

Anyone happen to have this? Or know of a source?

  WoodNetter Meat Up!!
Posted by: Gregory of Sherwood Forest - 09-25-2015, 12:36 AM - Forum: Woodworking Hand Tools - Replies (4)

Thanks for dinner Greg. It was a real treat hanging out with you and Rob. That was definitely the biggest bbq pork sandwich I've ever had. Delicious too. Always fun to meet other woodnetters. Safe travels to St. Louis. Salmon dinner is on me if you ever make it to Alaska.

According to the Old Tool Heaven web site, the No 981 was only made for four years -- 1913 to 1917 -- making it a fairly scarce drill.

Sure, a timesaver could definitely flatten it. Or build a jig and use your router.

Inset hinges and drawer slides brand / source?
Posted by: jussi - 09-24-2015, 07:29 PM - Forum: Woodworking - Replies (1)

Kitchen door hinges and drawer slides get more use/abuse than pretty much any other cabinet, so it's no place to go cheap. I've used a couple of different brands, but finally settled on Blum soft close for both hinges and slides. Why? They have a product for just about every application and those products work trouble free for years. Based on advise here I buy them from AH Turf. Good prices and great service.
