Easy just get a 16 port router and plug them all in. Past that a cat 5 tester but takes just as long as just going through all of them. You could possibly use the coax tool if you made a connector from cat 5 to coax using one of the vat 5 wires but by the time you did that you would have already gone through the 16 and got it working.

So it comes down to plug them into the router one at a time till the lights on the router blink. Takes less time that typing this post.

using a router to mount a vise
Posted by: overland - 10-03-2015, 04:04 PM - Forum: Woodworking Power Tools - Replies (1)

This is specific for an Emmerts Pattern vice. Possibly you could adapt.

Other vises

Going the hand tool route

Basic router techniques Many of the ideas about using templates can be adapted to the actual dimensions of your vise's mounting plate.

Possibly you would get more specific help if you mentioned the size, type, brand of vise/vises you plan to use. A lot of members photograph everything they do. If someone has used the same hardware mention of it would certainly help you.

  Powermatic 15HH won't start
Posted by: Aram - 10-03-2015, 12:38 PM - Forum: Woodworking Power Tools - Replies (2)

internally there is a reset button if that is what you mean

The other is to rotate the stop button then start the planer.

while you are in the box if that is the issue turn the amps up to 13 IIRC so it can work a bit harder before tripping

  Another Rocking Chair Repair
Posted by: Halfathumb - 10-03-2015, 11:59 AM - Forum: Woodworking - Replies (2)

Couldn't open the photos, it says the album is private. If it was repaired in the past with hide glue, just coat the joint liberally with hot water, wiggle, add more hot water and it should come free. When you go to put it back together, use hide glue for the next guy that has to repair it. If the earlier repairs used a different glue, hot water should still loosen most glues, other than epoxies and the newer Titebond glues.

  Getting Started with planes

My suggestion is to not buy those. Post a WTB in the swap and sell forum. Look for a vintage Stanley. There are other fine brands but it's easier to get started with those....please don't buy new unless you have real money...there are some real reputable sellers here. SteveF, Admiral, there are others. Send knew a PM and ask what they have. Cheaper to buy all from one b/c of shipping.

Now, sharpening....can you sharpen?

Who has made their workbench from 2x4 material?
Posted by: Scott W - 10-03-2015, 10:20 AM - Forum: Woodworking Hand Tools - Replies (7)

I've got a 60 year old house, and have made a benchtop out of old studs- but they were very different from what passes for 2x4s these days.
