You can get hoses and connectors at the big box stores. Make sure the hose can handle the heat.
If you get the thinner PVC pipe, it will soften and deform, I know this from experience. I build a 6" x 6" x 5' long box out of cheap pine. I am using a camp stove with a metal can for water, but Earlex makes a nice steamer that works great.

Well, they did say it was dovetails for dummies. Definitely not the best way to orient the grain for dovetails. Full disclosure, though, the author did say the orientation was not proper, and that it was just for demonstration only. Still, if you're going to post an instructable, do it right.

Lathe tool and accessory storage. |

All kinds of folks like to store the tools in PVC tubes or such, handles up. I think storing with the pattern of the tool visible at all times - handle down - is the better way. For my part, I use magnetic strips on the wall the lathe butts against. No worries about any spot being suitable for every tool, either.

New evaporator coil plumbing |

Yes there is an issue. The secondary drain needs to be run somewhere you will see it dripping. Usually over a kitchen window etc. So if you see water dripping you know your drain is plugged and needs to be fixed. If you don't notice it the pan drain will eventually plug and overflow water and damage your ceiling.

Starter capacitor question |

The voltage rating number on a capacitor is the insulation rating of it's guts. It has to be higher than the voltage applied to it. A 250 volt capacitor would be marginal on a 120 volt motor because the back EMF generated by the windings could be higher than that. I suspect more likely it's a problem with the centrifugal switch in the motor if it has one or the start winding or relay.

Glad to hear it was no worse than that Hank. I've just been watching the floods in Columbia on the news and it sure looks awful for many folks. Very sad.
If you don't have one, you might want to get a dehumidifier and run it for a couple of weeks to get things really dried out. I live in WNY and have one in my basement set at 55% RH, year round.

Russell I always like your work, because the style matches our tastes, that and it is always great work. Nice, don't see Murphy's like in the old days, but in some situations they are still the best alternative. Thanks for posting.
