I use the protactor with zero issue. It is not my tablesaw replacement though.

Well done, Johnny!

Enclosing the back for added "covered" storage is a great idea!

  How to trim bamboo
Posted by: Mandrake - 10-17-2015, 09:16 PM - Forum: Home Improvement - Replies (9)

The traditional tool is best. The machete.

Hopefully you have the right type of bamboo. Some is extremely invasive the right stuff makes a great wall between properties.

What yr range would this saw be from?

There are far better saw gurus than I, but it appears to be a No. 7, given the nib. D-7's lost the nib in 1928, so it's at least 1927 or earlier. Lots of useful blade on yours. Sadly, you lost the medallion, which could nail it down to a more specific time period.

Advice for wall storage behind workbench?
Posted by: jonas b - 10-17-2015, 05:34 PM - Forum: Woodworking Hand Tools - Replies (14)

For simple, you could do metal pegboard. They actually come as a 2-pack 16"x32" panels. IIRC, I actually bought them as a 4-pack, but I am not finding that one at the moment.

That looks like a wonderful lathe. To bad the other one you have that I am not closer. We could sure use another lathe.

The usual recommendation for finding a hard-to-find belt for a WW machine seems to be to try a good auto parts store.

Sorry that I don't have a better/more-specific answer for you.
