Hi,

Thanks for that...will copy the warehouse staff...they deserve the pat on the back, as do customers that take the time to let us know how we're doing!

Cheers,

Rob

  Wood for outdoor sign
Posted by: bob-t - 10-31-2015, 08:07 AM - Forum: Woodworking - Replies (9)

MDO signboard plywood is a common choice. Most lumberyards can order it. Many homecenters (menards) stock it. Its decent quality exterior plywood faced with resin impregnated paper on each side.

  Drawers for kitchen cabinets

I'd suggest 1/2" on bottom not for strength, but so you can eliminate the lip around the bottom. So much nicer when nothing can get caught on the drawer above.

Is there any item that requires this wide a drawer? Narrower drawers are much easier.

  Question about Tee Track
Posted by: Herb G - 10-31-2015, 01:58 AM - Forum: Woodworking - Replies (6)

Use your miter saw or table saw with a miter gauge and the same blade you figured out will cut particle board. Aluminum extrusions cut just fine with carbide saw blades. Run a block of wax along the teeth if you are worried about lubrication. The only reason lubrication would be needed is if the aluminum wants to weld itself to the saw teeth. I use a reasonably sharp combination blade and cut up to 3/4' by 6" wide aluminum with no problem and no lubrication.

Pretty sure it was Jason Hart. But I haven't seen any posts from him in a couple years, at least...

I need help and info on my 1956 RAS

Seldom have I heard of anyone buying new head roller bearings, because they are expensive. Even in an industrial setting do they actually wear out. Sometimes they clog with gunk and need to be cleaned. Below is one person's method for rehabbing his bearings.

X5 Uni motor in older PM66?
Posted by: Aram - 10-30-2015, 09:45 PM - Forum: Woodworking Power Tools - Replies (4)

pretty sure the frames are significantly different. Can't you just sell the Uni and buy the appropriate motor? Or did it somehow get totaled?
