I'd like to see it. Best way to post pics is get a photobucket of flickr account, and then grab the "bbcode" that they give you when you find the "share" button. You can just paste bbcode into your post

Not to say I haven't pulled off a few no brain involved exploits.

BIL found a 3520B for me

Great lathe, price is a touch high, you can get one for $3500, new, with warranty when they are on sale.

I just checked and Rockler is claiming they will be selling them for 20% off on Black Friday, so that would be $3200.

with a 3.5" stock pulley would turn the head at 5366rpm,

My Delta No. 37-315 8" is designed to spin at 5175 RPM.

You can look up what you have on the Vintage Machinery site and see what was spec'd.

  ideas for tapering jig
Posted by: mike9 - 11-21-2015, 04:04 PM - Forum: Woodworking - Replies (8)

I don't need one often enough to justify making one. I always seem to have some scraps of MDF, plywood or Masonite around and when I need a tapering jig, I grab a piece and stick down some registration blocks in the right places with carpet tape. Takes only a couple of minutes to set up and works fine for me.

Interesting find...like the arbor bearing oiler (or grease) cups...

So did you get it home and unloaded OK?

Sawstop problem-any other owners out there?
Posted by: plharrison - 11-21-2015, 03:51 PM - Forum: Woodworking Power Tools - Replies (5)

Paul, never had that happen to me, but I would unplug it, take out the cartridge and reinstall it to make sure it is sitting correctly, then check the gap to the sensor to make sure that is right and plug in the saw and see if that cures it. If not, call Customer Service, they are pretty helpful. I have not yet read of a post where there has been a problem with the electronics - so I am guessing it is something else.
