Woodworking things to do in Branson, MO
Posted by: dlgWoodWork - 12-16-2015, 12:23 PM - Forum: Woodworking - Replies (2)

Not sure about Branson, but the Grizz Showroom is only 50 miles away in Springfield. But, I doubt you want to drive for 2 hours round trip just to see 450,000 square feet of tools on display.

sure would like to do ours -- we'll probably just move first.

can't really help, but ya might have to take down the first couple feet from the top if it's gunite.

You probably tripped a GFCI outlet that's somewhere on that circuit. Good luck finding it.

  Combining Tormek and Wolverine

I've had my T3 Tormek for a couple of years and have made do with it. Not real happy because I can't seem to get a consistent bevel angle with the attachments so I reset the piece which holds the gouge to make it work. I can get a sharp edge but its a hassel. To me, Tormek's strong feature is the slow speed wet grinder.

Just wondering if any one has combined both systems, i.e., mounted the Wolvering jig under the Tormek grinder. Seems to me that would be the best of both worlds. Comments???

Dave

I've considered a Tormek from time to time and I know they make a jig similar to the wolverine vari-grind. Are you saying that jig doesn't work well?

I use some kind of orange citrus cleaner in a frisbee.

First and foremost, THANK-YOU to your son for his years of service for all of us! God bless him and your entire family for the sacrifice!

Now for your accolades. The flag display is awesome! This will no doubt become a priceless family heirloom. Great use of the walnut.

Thanks for sharing.
