  Shooting Board Question
Posted by: tablesawtom - 12-21-2015, 07:57 PM - Forum: Woodworking Hand Tools - Replies (4)

To register from the same side for both ends I don't rotated my piece, I flip it vertically. This keeps the same side of the work piece against the fence. Of course if your fence in not dead on ninety degrees, this method doubles your error. Can't comment on the other style of shooting board mine is just the flat one. Put some good thought into your fence, making it adjustable to angle and also some way of extending it toward the plane.

  +1 for Grizzly Tech Support
Posted by: Mark A Smith - 12-21-2015, 05:45 PM - Forum: Woodworking Power Tools - Replies (3)

I only worked retail as a low level salesclerk. But I had a very good man for a boss.

Grizzly tech support earned good will with you, and everyone here that reads this, with your call. That is worth far more than paying the tech support employee for his half hour. It is the way it is SUPPOSED to be done, but too often is not.

I have never used Grizzly tech support. Now I have one more reason to know they will be there when I need them.

Buy a Titemark from Lee Valley tools.
Get a Veritas version at the same time.

Keep the one you like best, return the other.

Did you adjust for the correct blade to brake distance. Prob time to pull out your manual (or download one) again and read through. Its all there.

Well, things have slowed down around here as far as sales are concerned, but I was able to find a few things. Here we go.

I've given up quantity for quality. Seriously, the 65 and 993 corner brace are about as minty as I've seen and I think the 41Y is NOS. Thanks for looking!!
