SOLD: Delta Rockwell Model 37-290 4” Jointer: Completely Rebuilt
Posted by: Philip1231 - 05-20-2023, 12:08 PM - Forum: Tool Swap N' Sell - Replies (10)

SOLD: This Delta Rockwell Model 37-290 4” Jointer has been completely rebuilt. It was completely disassembled and each part was cleaned and degreased. Painted parts received a new coat of industrial finish that is an exact match of the original Delta gray. Bare metal parts were cleaned a polished.  New cutter head bearings were installed, as well as new cutter head knives. The motor was disassembled and new bearings were installed, in addition to repainting each of the component parts. Finally, a new belt was installed. I doubt you will come across many machine restorations done to this level. A piece of old American iron made in Pennsylvania in the late 1960’s/early 1970’s.  If you gravitate toward old American Made Delta/Rockwell equipment, you will not be disappointed by this unit. Local pickup in the greater Hartford Connecticut area. $495 SOLD

  New dust deputy low profile?
Posted by: JDuke - 05-20-2023, 09:36 AM - Forum: Woodworking Power Tools - Replies (11)

I wondered about this with previous dust deputy more from a flow standpoint than footprint but now with the low profile variant it seems like someone would either offer or modify a shop vacuum to have the inlet centered on the bottom and a small dust bin to mate with these dust deputy style separators.

  Automated router fence and lift
Posted by: Juss1 - 05-18-2023, 07:51 AM - Forum: Woodworking Power Tools - Replies (12)

Not something I would ever purchase  but pretty cool.   I've seen an automated fence and lift before but I don't recall seeing one that can move simultaneously with one another.  Kinda of like a cnc even though the guy on the video makes sure to say it's not one at the start.  It's made by nextwave who makes the shark cnc.  The price point seems high but it would also theoretically replace other jigs and tools so who knows.

Sawstop - Chicago - contractor with bells and whistles
Posted by: n2bragg - 05-18-2023, 07:00 AM - Forum: Tool Swap N' Sell - No Replies

In good condition

Single phase, 220V motor – 1.75hp
Two cast iron extension wings
Custom size fence – it was originally a 52” fence, but was cut down to fit a slightly smaller shop. The overall length of the fence rail is 72” making this something like a 46” cut capacity right of the blade
As reference, the current price for this brand new (with the full 52” fence) is about $2900 after taxes.  Looking for $2200

Another base design question--check my process?
Posted by: ®smpr_fi_mac® - 05-17-2023, 02:13 PM - Forum: Woodworking - Replies (2)

I need to design and build this base.  I know that the faces each need two 60* faces cut into them so that they can be glued together.

My plan, for now, is to glue up the three leg assemblies, two pieces each, joined with floating tenons.

Then with a sled, cut all the feet to the same angle and the tops to the same angle.

To get those 60* cuts on the joining faces, I'm thinking of a sled to hold the leg assemblies in place to run them over the table saw blade set at 60*.

By sled I mean a piece of plywood that runs against the fence with stops screwed to it to hold the pieces in place, just like what you'll see in just about any Foureyes video on YouTube.

Any thoughts or suggestions?  See any flaws with my thinking?
