  Thermostat for 5K shop heater

I have one of those I've meaning to put in my garage for occasional use. I always thought I could get a line voltage stat to put on it. Not as accurate as the low voltage ones, but still better than nothing.

It's a brave new world in retail sales these days. Amazon is creating huge perturbations in the business in general, and not just woodworking.

Combine that with the still not well economy and it will be very interesting to see which large scale retailers can adapt to the conditions and survive.

I think rheostats work by altering voltage. I'm not sure how that would work for LEDs.

A quick google search shows LED specific dimmers.
