I posted on a reel of theirs on facebook telling everyone about Lichtenburg burning on if it is not used saftly it can kill people and to take all safely precautions when using it since we in the woodturning section know of people who died doing this. He threated me and told me to "Don’t post your bullshit on my page" So I really do not know if they are safe or not do buy at your risk

If you get the same hassle then spread the word to not use them.
I do not know if I need to dome this or not but I want you to understand the danger of this is all.

Arlin: I moved this to Woodworking from Power Tools because it is important to woodworkers in general.
Getting pushback from a company when one points out that they are selling potentially deadly equipment is no surprise, but it is a good reason to share.
All: While Arlin posted to raise the issue about a particular company selling potentially deadly equipment, the issue goes way beyond just the one company.
The use of high-voltage discharge to make pretty and/or interesting patterns in wood got a lot of interest and then notoriety a few years ago mainly among the woodturning community.
Yes, people made and sold wooden creations with interesting patterns.
Yes, people died.
IIRC, some woodturning groups banned the technique and the AAW insurance said that they did not cover deaths or injuries that might occur during demos of the technique at AAW affiliated turning clubs.
If you even consider trying Lichtenburg burning, _please_ do your homework about the hazards.
I am not sure that the technique can truly be done safely without safeguards that most of us would never have access to.

Thanks buddy. I was not trying to tell anyone not to use it but to caution anyone how dangerous it is and you will not get hurt since the only reslut is death. They can be used with extream caution though.

So you can make pretty and unique things - if you survive it. I think I'll pass, wouldn't want to make my cats orphans.
