WTB 3520B mobile base - RonB1957 - 07-09-2025 I am looking for that mobile base they used to make for the Powermatic 3520B. It seems the person who owned the patent retired and it is no longer made. I know it is a long shot, but IF you know of one somewhere out in the wild, please let me know. Thank you. Powermatic seems determined to never make anything interchangeable between lathe models. ![]() In case, you cannot find a set, here is a link to a DIY version on Lumberjocks. It looks serviceable if you can find the right wheel assemblies. I tried the trailer jack approach (as did one of the LJ posters) for my Jet lathe and found it too heavy and unwieldy. You might try calling Craft Supply. When I got my 3520B from them in Tampa at the AAW symposium, I got a good deal on some accessories that they had taken in trade-in. If they still take trade-ins, they might be willing to put you on a wait list in case someone trades one in with the mobility accessory. They might even have one in stock since they do not seem to list their "previously-owned" items. RE: WTB 3520B mobile base - fall - 07-10-2025 The mobile base looks like wheels on a Shop Smith you may want to review those as well? RE: WTB 3520B mobile base - EightFingers - 07-10-2025 I would never put a mobile base on a lathe RE: WTB 3520B mobile base - fredhargis - 07-10-2025 (07-10-2025, 11:36 AM)EightFingers Wrote: I would never put a mobile base on a lathe If you saw that one you might, the wheels completely lift off the floor so the lathe sits on it's own legs. OP, I've only seen one for sale...and it was on a 3520B that you also had to buy. It's a shame that was discontinued, I'd like to have the set for my 3520C. RE: WTB 3520B mobile base - Oldwood2409 - 07-11-2025 Here are a few photos of one I fabricated for my 3520C about 5 years ago. [attachment=55167][attachment=55168][attachment=55169] Works very well. You tighten those bolts to lift the lathe? RE: WTB 3520B mobile base - Oldwood2409 - 07-13-2025 Yes. I use an cordless impact. Takes no effort to pick up.
