Remembering and thanking Pat Warner aka Router Man - Teak - 06-08-2025
How many of you here still remember Pat Warner aka Router Man? I still have his custom router bases and use them regularly. Needed to route a 6" disc and recalled that the elongated base he did for me included centering holes to do 2" to 6" circles in 1" increments.
However, I always used the base on my fixed router base. Wondered if it would go on the plunge base and lo and behold it worked! I cannot do 2" or 3" circles but 4" to 6" are no problem.
Said a silent prayer of thanks to Pat for his engineering and foresight. Miss his cryptic post and vast knowledge of routers.
RIP Pat! You left this world a better place.

Have several of his books that I bought from used book seller. Well written and illustrated. Definitely knew how to work a router to its full potential.
Difficult to believe he passed about 20 years ago....

I’ve got a couple of this router bases also. His ability to engineer jigs for the router was amazing.

Since Pat used the name Router Man it influenced me into choosing tablesawtom for my mane on a forum I don't even remember the name of. I just kept it.

Pat was a great resource
In my early experience, he was one of those who taught, not because he wanted it to lead to a sale, but because he wanted to share information.
My personal opinion only but the youtube and "influencer" age engendered a lot of people who were only posting to generate clicks.
