What I have been doing for the last year - Arlin Eastman - 06-05-2025 This is what I have been doing for maybe 13 months For the churches Bible School. I ended up making a total of 155 and only 144 were used. That was a lot of kids [attachment=54776] Now this is the end product of the Dust Collection and drops to all the tools On the first one you can see the clearvue DC which had taken me 40+ hours to install first. [attachment=54779] [attachment=54777] [attachment=54780] [attachment=54783] This is the cabinets that Ray made for me and I just had to pay for the materials and helped for a few hours to make. [attachment=54778] After all of this I cleaned the shop which is NOT in the photos. I can not work in a dirty or messy/cluttered shop. I like knowing where everything is and in it place. I do have one photo of where some of my turning tools in a drawer are stored that Ray made me. The drawers are 34" wide and 16" deep. The wall cabinets above are 36" high and 14" deep to hold the plastic containers I store things in. [attachment=54781] The tablesaw and router table is what Aram sent to me along with a MM16 which is in the above photo. He sent a whole POD full of tools and equipment which I will post later. Y'know, I'm always thinking my shop is too crowded and not big enough, but then I see something like this and Ye Olde Shop looks pretty bare in comparison. Long as we have room to turn around, right? And safely. To me I pick up wood along side the road even it is pine since I can cut that up in 2x2 for practice turning. I have never done a bowl from a board but will try it soon. RE: What I have been doing for the last year - Philip1231 - 06-06-2025 Arlin: impressive shop setup. Keep up the good work! Phil RE: What I have been doing for the last year - Arlin Eastman - 06-10-2025 The shop is 24x25 with an attached garage of 24x16. It is alot bigger then my old garage of 20x16. Biggest thing is keeping family from "borrowing tools" and leaving them out in the rain or not bringing them back right away. ![]() |
