FS: AB 509 Starter - Rick_B - 06-03-2025 For sale is an Allen Bradley 509-BAD magnetic starter. BAD does not indicate condition - it is the model with B indicating size, A , I think is enclosure and D is voltage. This is a NEMA size 1 capable of both single and three phase usage. It currently has a 120volt coil and W43 heaters. It is capable of handling 27 amps at 220 volts. The starter is currently wired for single phase input. Also included is a remote REES start/stop station in a Crouse Hinds cast box. This starter has been tested and all functions operate correctly. This is a used item but appears like new.
I don’t have much experience with these starters in terms of pricing – the only guide I have is Ebay completed auctions. I am asking $225 plus shipping (estimated at $15). If my pricing is out of line all reasonable offers are welcome. Only one picture due to resizing requirements but feel free to message me for additional photos
Thanks for looking Rick [attachment=54753] RE: FS: AB 509-BAD Starter - iclark - 06-03-2025 That is certainly an unfortunate model number for a good, working starter RE: FS: AB 509-BAD Starter - FrankAtl - 06-03-2025 I agree Ivan, that is an unfortunate model number! ![]() That looks to be a very fair price and Allen Bradley is the top dog in industrial controls. After all, they were part of the group that developed the Rockwell Retro Encabulator! Thanks Frank and Ivan - your comments plus others elsewhere caused me to edit my original post Rick RE: FS: AB 509 Starter - FrankAtl - 06-03-2025 Good luck with the sale, Rick. Those things are expensive when new and should last more than one lifetime in a woodworking shop. |
