Dining Table Finished - Scoony - 05-20-2025 Brother came down this past weekend to pick up the table I built for him and his wife. This is the table assembled in their dining room. [attachment=54688] [attachment=54689] I built that side board in the background several years ago. RE: Dining Table Finished - Scoony - 05-20-2025 These are the bases and how they assemble. Wooden buttons fit into the slots in the beams and screw up into the underside of the top. [attachment=54690] [attachment=54691] RE: Dining Table Finished - Scoony - 05-20-2025 The hardest part of this project was dealing with the top. Finished size measured 84" x 45" x 1 3/4" and weighed somewhere around 170 lbs per a lumber weight calculator. I do have a jointer, but usually always hand joint edges for glue-ups. I glued up the top in two halves. Here I am jointing the glue edge of one half. RE: Dining Table Finished - jteneyck - 05-20-2025 Awesome design and construction. Very nice workmanship and finish. And it fits that space beautifully. Well done sir.
