tenon cutter? - bandit571 - 08-31-2023

From E.C. Stearns....
[attachment=48220]
(was kind of hard to "pose" with the 10" Brace drill attached)
The "Business End"
[attachment=48221]
Adjust from 1/4" to 1-1/4"....
[attachment=48222]
Depth stop even has a ruler-like scale to set the length on a tenon..

Not sure who replaced the shank at the top...they did a real good job...more for a power drill, now, but seems to work in my Brace drills..
Yard sale find a few years ago...$1

Ya did good on price, I can tell you that. I've always wanted one of these just to play with but never caught one in the wild, at least not at a price I was willing to pay.

Side note, I picked up a No. 9 ( upper left one in Admirals pics ) and knew it was missing a part or two.
Now I know what they are and look like, ( Thanks Admiral! ). Guess I will hold onto it and see if another one
pops up in the wild, eventually. I paid pennies for it and it don't eat anything while sitting in the
"box 'o tools to fix one day."
