Christmas Crib - David G - 12-28-2015 Finished up a crib for the first grandbaby on Christmas morning. Thanks to MichaelMouse. I shamelessly copied from his picture post. Curly maple. 200% concentration of Golden Brown dye. Lacquer topcoat. Slats were sized to fit a MorticePal slot. Fun and easy project. ![]() ![]() Re: Christmas Crib - joe1086 - 12-28-2015 Beautiful figure in that maple. Re: Christmas Crib - MichaelMouse - 12-28-2015 Reminds me of my granddaughter, whom we tease about having her mother's face. She says "but I look better with it." I think you showed me up pretty well. Re: Christmas Crib - RedBob - 12-28-2015 Instant heirloom! Well done, Gramps! Love the color you selected. Bob Re: Christmas Crib - David G - 12-28-2015 Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I liked your design better than anything else I saw. Added the knockdown bolts for transport ease. Re: Christmas Crib - jestrada - 12-28-2015 That's beautiful. Well done. Re: Christmas Crib - BrokenOlMarine - 12-28-2015 Beautiful work. Re: Christmas Crib - Gary G™ - 12-29-2015 Sweet Re: Christmas Crib - Martin S. - 12-31-2015 Really nicely done. Can you tell us the color and brand of the dye? It really looks nice and pops the curl. Re: Christmas Crib - Herb G - 12-31-2015 An heirloom piece for certain. Looks well made for sure. Congrats on the first grand child. |
