[attachment=54319] Then, haul the case upstairs...set it on a table where the DVDs are waiting.. [attachment=54320] And, load it up... [attachment=54321] Plenty of room? Close the door and latch it ( something the old case couldn't do)and set the case over in it's new "Home Station" [attachment=54322] Then open the door to see how well it sits... RE: "Difficult Grain"? - bandit571 - 04-23-2025 Ok, still had some "Leftovers" of that unruly grained Ash...so.. Changed out the Tablesaw's 60 tooth blade for a 24 tooth Rip blade...set the Zero Clearance Overlay and the rip fence to the tablesaw. had already ran the blade all the way up, makes it easier to change blades, and check that the blade is 90 degrees to the table's top...set the width/thickness to 1/2" thick...place the best face of each board against the fence, standing on an edge...run that through, rotate, and repeat...until.. [attachment=54425] All the remaining "Good" lumber was now 1/2" thick...laid them out to see how the grain looked.. [attachment=54426] Very interesting....will worry about the edges later...need to stack the mess up.. [attachment=54427] And stash out of the way, for now. "Plan" right now ? Seems most of the Kitchen's bottles of spices, are sitting around on top of the Microwave....Maybe take these slats and cobble a Spice Cabinet to hang on the wall?... Stay tuned... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: "Difficult Grain"? - stav - 04-23-2025 There is never enough places to store spices. I like the handle for it seems it fits the project nicely RE: "Difficult Grain"? - bandit571 - 05-22-2025 A wee bit of work, this morning.. [attachment=54697] A Finial got a rebate.. [attachment=54698] A few resaws were made.. [attachment=54699] And then glued up into a panel for the back.. [attachment=54700] Which can sit there a day or two... Maybe I should start a Build Thread for this Spice Rack? |
