RE: Plane talk - MarkSingleton - 06-24-2025 The level of craftsmanship in that plane is far above my meager skills to even contemplate using, or owning. Stunning. I don't post a lot these days but every once and a while I like to let folks know I'm still here and kicking. This is an infill shooting plane I designed this past years. I've made a few of these with different metal/wood combination. This one features brass sides and resin infused Masur birch as the infill.................. Ron....so good to hear from you after so long a time!!...I hope you and your bride are doing well...It has been a long time but I still remember the nice get together for lunch at the MWTCA tool meet in Madison Ga. about ten years {maybe 15} ago...I remember that Bob Z, Hank Knight, Jameel Abraham, you and myself were in attendance and there may have been someone else whose name I have forgotten...It may have been Jameel's brother.. You brought "The flagship" panel plane that you had just finished, and it was fabulous..one of the most beautiful planes I have ever seen!!! I wonder if you still have that plane or photos of it you could post..It would make Karl Holtey proud...as would all your outstanding craftsmanship. I believe that plane was made using stainless steel..not the easiest metal to machine..
