Don’t be surprised if they sprayed maple to resemble cherry.
Some does look like cherry though.
I’m surprised; would have expected Penn. House to be more refined.

Some of the stretchers are probably something else. No one looks at the stretchers so why use cherry? The board with "Pennsylvania House Furniture" definitely looks like it is something other than cherry.
The other boards definitely appear to be cherry though. I am trying to remember but I don't think I have ever machined Cherry. I did notice an aroma when I was ripping the tabletop down to boards or maybe it was the burns caused by the blade. The boards did machine very well.
Here are some more photos of the boards from the side. Also a few more pictures of the legs which are solid wood... hopefully cherry.

In my experience cherry burns very easily, so your wishes my be true that it is cherry. Even when I have a brand new sharp blade I still struggle to get burn free rips. And don’t pause for a half a second when routing either.

Cherry will almost always have a sweet smell when you’re milling it.
