My belief is that Canada is a valued friend and long term ally and as a nation we are treating them badly and impacting fine companies like LV for no good reason. That's it. My guess is that we probably share most of the same views on Canada, except that we are treating them badly. I see this situation as purely a "part of the deal" when it comes to trade negotiations, nothing more. I previously shared my views on Rob Lee and Lee Valley - those haven't and will not change. Doug RE: Robin Lee at Lee Valley - Handplanesandmore - 05-16-2025 Anyone who thinks the past relationship between the two countries will return once the tariff war is over is either joking or is not thinking deeply. Many Canadians I know see the unprovoked attack as betrayal. They felt insulted when they were treated the same as Mexicans on the trade side. Not to mention bogus reasons were used as justifications for those tariffs as far as Canadians are concerned. Simon RE: Robin Lee at Lee Valley - iclark - 05-16-2025 This thread started as sharing information from a highly respected company and its leader. That is always appropriate here. The thread has become a politics thread and continuing it in this forum area is no longer appropriate. It is therefor now locked. [attachment=54667] |
