Re: Townsend queen anne chest in curly maple - RedBob - 02-05-2015 Beautiful piece. Love the feet and moldings. And the color and curl. Outstanding. Bob Re: Townsend queen anne chest in curly maple - Paul K. Murphy - 02-05-2015 Terrific! Really a nice piece! I love the reference to Townsend furniture being Queen Anne style. I've heard Townsend and Goddard cabinetry described as Chippendale too many times. I've always felt that T&G partakes far more of Colonial American Queen Anne than Chippendale. Re: Townsend queen anne chest in curly maple - Ken Vick - 02-05-2015 Nicely done and the maple is beautiful. Not that I have seen a lot of these, but this is the first I can remember where the dovetails showed on the top. Ken Re: Townsend queen anne chest in curly maple - glzahn - 02-05-2015 Now there's a piece of furniture that the Antiques Road show circa 2150 will be talking about and your great, great, great grandchildren will say it's been handed down for generations.
